
Maxim Rylsky
Executive VP for public relations
Maxim Rylsky currently serves as Executive VP for The Willard Group/Burson-Marsteller Public Relations department. In this role, Mr. Rylsky oversees the development and execution of communications/government relations accounts for The Willard Group's commercial clients.
He is directly involved in organizing, on behalf of The Willard Group's clients, regular media seminars and round table discussions with the participation of the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister, and other top government officials. Mr. Rylsky has also organized a number of national and regional press conferences for multinationals entering the Ukrainian market.
He started his career with Burson-Marsteller six years ago as press department director for B-M's national market reform public education program, sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development. In that capacity, Mr. Rylsky managed the press department's day-to-day activities, which included editing and supervising publication of nationally circulated newspaper "Press Club," three informational digests and overseeing the work of twenty-five regional market reform press clubs. Mr. Rylsky represented the program in the President's Administration, Parliament, Cabinet of Ministers, and the President's Press Service.
Mr. Rylsky supervised the organization of print media coverage for the new $100 introduction campaign under a contract with the U.S. Treasury, and for the CCRF's events.
Thanks to his solid contacts, he deals directly with all levels of government. As the grandson of one of Ukraine's most famous poets by the same name, Mr. Rylsky has a unique ability to open doors and make contacts throughout all spheres of Ukrainian industry, mass media and government. Mr. Rylsky's reputation as a national leader within literary and media circles and his knowledge of and relationship with leading editors throughout Ukraine make him an unparalleled Ukrainian media relations specialist. Mr. Rylsky is the founder of the National Press Center "Ukraine-Forum".
Prior to joining B-M, Mr. Rylsky worked as a correspondent and later as director of the Ukrainian Information Agency "News" (APN).
