Elena joined corporate communications department of The Willard Group as Senior Associate, later promoted to Manager, to serve clients in the Russian market in research and analysis, developing clients’ relationships to deliver corporate messages to external audiences and communication strategies development. Now she works rendering services to the Willard Group clients in financial markets in their media relations needs and communications strategies.
In her activities, Elena implements experience gained during her work for Corporate Research department of Hermitage Capital Management fund, member of HSBC group, largest foreign fund in terms of capital invested in Russian oil and gas sector. She was involved with corporate research and information support to issue publication materials and presentations for clients and internal use.
Elena has over 5 years of public relations management in the project of International Center for Accounting Reform (ICAR, 1998-2003), executed on joint financing of DFID (UK), USAID, Tacis, The World Bank, The British Know-How Fund under auspices of the Ministry of Finance of RF. Elena organized and coordinated professional conferences and training seminars on IAS, International Audit, Corporate Governance and related issues in Moscow and 12 other cities of Russia. She prepared briefing materials on accounting, audit, corporate governance and related legislative issues and successfully promoted the accounting reform in Russia towards International Accounting Standards. Elena executed and coordinated background surveys and monitored the events follow-up, acted as editor, coordinator and dissemination manager for number of publication projects, including training materials and professional glossaries. Before joining ICAR, Elena worked as research analyst in Securities Research and Economics section of Most-Investment Russian investment company.
In 1995-1997 Elena worked as research team member of Harvard University Economic Advisor acting in favor of the Federal Service for Financial Markets of RF (that time – Federal Commission for Securities Market of RF). She organized and completed the full research study on Corporate Ownership and Corporate Governance in the Russian Federation and the Results of Russian Privatization survey. For this purpose, she carried out 2 survey programs, interviewed top managers of 85 Russian large and medium size privatized enterprises in over 30 regions of Russia.
All through the projects, Elena set and maintained contacts with state federal and local bodies, stock market institutions, regional administrations and businesses and Russian industrial enterprises.
Elena holds master degree in International Economics from the Moscow State University of Commerce, Diploma in Business English, Financial Analyses Course Certificate and is member of the Guild of Investment and Financial Analysts.
She has number of publications on corporate governance issues in Russia. She is good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, client oriented professional applying her experience to efficiently serve clients needs and achieve business objectives.
